KABUL(BNA) – During his recent visit to Balkh province, Mawlawi Ataullah Omari, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, reviewed the import and export operations at Hairatan port.
According to the Ministry’s statement, Mawlawi Omari inspected the border areas between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, assessing the import and export processes. He emphasized the need for streamlined facilities to support exporters and importers, particularly those dealing with agricultural products.
Notably, the Acting Minister led a high-level delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Balkh for discussions with an Uzbek delegation.
The primary focus of their talks was on fortifying the banks of the Amu Darya River, highlighting the importance of cooperative efforts in enhancing infrastructure and trade relations between the two countries.
