Afghanistan Sees Over 3,000 Foreign Visitors in August and September, NSIA Reports

 

KABUL(BNA): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) reported that over 3,000 foreign nationals registered their entry and exit through Afghanistan during the months of August and September in the current year.

According to the official statement released by NSIA, a total of 3,328 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan via air and land routes during the previous month.

The report indicates that 1,804 foreign nationals, including 33 women, entered the country, while 1,524 individuals, including 31 women, departed during this period.

Additionally, the statement clarified that 1,764 of the incoming visitors arrived through land border crossings, while 39 others entered by air. Of those, 212 individuals visited Afghanistan to explore its historical and cultural heritage sites, while the remainder entered for professional engagements.

It is noteworthy that, according to NSIA’s recorded figures, most foreign nationals arrived through the land borders of Nimroz, Torkham, and Hairatan, as well as the international airports in Kabul and Balkh.
