Afghanistan and China Advance Disease Control Talks
KABUL (BNA): During an official visit to China, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Acting Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, engaged in discussions with China’s Deputy Director for Disease Control and Prevention on managing diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, polio, and other health issues.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the meeting highlighted key topics, including disease surveillance, disaster management, capacity building for Afghan healthcare workers, and the collection of health-related data. Both sides emphasized enhancing mutual health cooperation.
Additionally, Jalali visited China’s Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC) and its National Influenza Center to observe their operations and explore opportunities for collaboration.
