Acting Mines Minister Engages in High-Level Talks in Turkmenistan on TAPI, Rail, and Energy Projects
KABUL(BNA): The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, along with his accompanying delegation, recently met separately with several senior officials of Turkmenistan during his visit to the country.
The meetings included discussions with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Oil and Gas, Industry and Urban Development, and heads of the TAPI project and the Turkmenistan Railway Authority.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Badri discussed various issues, including the TAPI and TAP projects, railway expansion, fiber optic networks, and oil and gas trade, during his meeting with the Turkmenistan Foreign Minister.
Additionally, in his meeting with the Minister of Oil and Gas and the head of the TAPI project, Mullah Badri focused on discussions related to the TAPI project as well as matters concerning oil and gas cooperation. The Turkmenistan Minister of Industry and Urban Development also expressed his interest in Afghanistan’s iron ore mines.
Meanwhile, Acting Minister praised the Turkmenistan official’s interest in investing in Afghanistan’s iron ore sector and assured him of all possible cooperation.
Furthermore, during his meeting with the head of the Turkmenistan Railway Authority, Mullah Badri highlighted the importance of expanding the railway network and emphasized the need to extend the railway to the cities of Herat and Mazar.
