Acting Economy Minister Meets Head of UNAMA

KABUL(BNA): Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, the Acting Minister of Economy, engaged in a productive meeting with Ms. Roza Otunbayeva, the head of UNAMA, and Indrika Ratwatte, Deputy Representative in Kabul, along with their delegation.
The discussions centered on enhancing the effectiveness and transparency of humanitarian aid processes, ensuring they align with the economic needs and developmental priorities of the Afghan people. A key emphasis was placed on achieving balanced development across various sectors.
Minister Hanif highlighted the critical role of the international community in supporting Afghanistan’s economic recovery. He outlined several priority areas, including agricultural and livestock development, expansion of healthcare services, food security, social protection, and the strengthening of small and medium enterprises.
Additionally, he underscored the need for support for the private sector and the development of technical and vocational skills.
Looking ahead, Economy Minister stressed the importance of implementing development projects in 2025 aimed at creating employment opportunities, addressing livelihood challenges, and effectively reducing poverty and unemployment in Afghanistan.
