63 Million AFN Allocated for 15 Water Management Projects in Maidan Wardak

KABUL(BNA) The Ministry of Energy and Water announced the completion of 15 water management projects in Maidan Wardak Province during the ongoing fiscal year 1403. These projects, valued at approximately 63 million Afghanis, aim to improve water infrastructure in the province.

According to the Ministry, the projects include small dams, weirs, canals, retaining walls, and water supply networks. These were implemented in Maidan Wardak’s central areas and districts such as Behsud, Hissa-e-Awal Behsud, Daimirdad, Chak, Jaghatu, Nirkh, and Sayedabad.

Additionally, surveys and designs for 33 more projects, including small dams and canals, have been completed. These initiatives were funded by the Ministry of Energy and Water, the FAO, and charitable organizations under the supervision of the Maidan Wardak Directorate of Energy and Water.

The projects are expected to enhance water access and support agricultural and economic development in the region.
