117 Million AFN Public Welfare Projects Completed in Farah Province

KABUL(BNA): Dozens of developmental public welfare projects, costing 117 million Afghanis, have been completed in Farah province during the first six months of the current solar hijri Year.
Mufti Mohammad Naseem Sarhang, the Head of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Farah, told BNA correspondent that 23 development projects, including 10 small water storage dams and 13 water supply networks, have been completed and made operational in the center and districts of the province. These projects were funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and cooperating organizations.
With the completion of these initiatives, 3,500 families now have access to clean drinking water, and hundreds of families are benefiting from irrigation water.
Additionally, over the past six months, the Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, with financial support from the World Food Programme (WFP), distributed food assistance to 84,000 vulnerable and needy families across the province’s center and districts.
