110 Water Supply Projects Completed in Maidan Wardak

 

MAIDAN WARDAK (BNA): The Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate of Maidan Wardak province has implemented 110 water supply projects this year.

Mawlawi Rashid, the head of the Directorate, informed Bakhtar News Agency that with financial support from aid organizations, the directorate carried out these projects at a cost of 47 million Afghanis, providing drinking water to thousands of families.

According to him, the projects included the construction of 32 water supply networks and the digging of 87 wells, of which 32 were newly dug, and 55 were rehabilitated.

The officials of the directorate have promised to establish 21 more water supply networks in various parts of the province next year.

It is noteworthy that with the assistance of ACTED, several other major and minor rural development projects, including the construction of retaining walls, bridges, pathways, and roads, have been launched in the Chaghtu district of Maidan Wardak province.
