10-Megawatt Solar Power Project Set to Boost Kabul and Nangarhar Electricity Supply

 

KABUL(BNA):  Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Acting Minister of Energy and Water, has announced that the 10-megawatt solar power project in Naghlu, Sarobi, is set to commence operations soon.

According to a report from the Ministry of Energy and Water, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, along with several officials and representatives from the contracting company responsible for the project, recently visited the Naghlu area in Sarobi district.

During his visit, the Acting Minister confirmed the completion of the project’s implementation and stated that the solar power facility would be operational in the near future. He described the project as a significant advancement in energy development and emphasized that the addition of 10 megawatts to the national grid would substantially address electricity shortages in Kabul and Nangarhar.

The project has been carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Water with private investment from the Aofi Bahram Company.
